We've found tweaking digital pics is one of things
that trips people up. The latest digital cameras
offer high resolutions perfect for professional
print posters, and enormous file sizes to match.
Computer screens, however, are often only 800
pixels across, so just can't display such images
without scrolling. And the file sizes are so large
your poor users will have to go and mow the lawns
while they download!
Here's the answer - Image Toaster.
Anyone can use it any time to optimise photos
to go in your newsletter or on any web page. Note
that Image Toaster is occasionally overloaded
when multiple users access it at the same time
(or, obviously, when the Internet is down!) If
at first you don't succeed, try again :-)

You might want to read the hints first!
Hint 1: It's best to rename your
image file as follows before
optimising:
Give it a a short, meaningful
name in lower case,
with no spaces

This is NOT! DSCP99554 Netball competition.JPG
Hint 2: Maximum file size for
uploading and optimising is 2 MB.
You will not be able to upload larger files.
When you process large photos with Image Toaster,
they may take a long time to upload - especially
if your Internet connection is a bit slow. Be
patient! |
