KiwiSchools respects user privacy and supports initiatives to preserve individual privacy on the Internet. KiwiSchools reserves the right to revise the Privacy Policy for KiwiSchools by posting the revised Privacy Policy on the kiwischools.co.nz site.

KiwiSchools collects personal information about registered users of KiwiSchools in connection with providing an informative communication environment for schools. The following personal information may be gathered and used by a school's Administrator(s), who may be a teacher or staff member of the school, a student's teacher and KiwiSchools staff members:

Name
The absence of anonymity promotes responsible action of community members. The full name of students is available to a school's KiwiSchools Administrator and a student's teacher. Only a child's first name is will be displayed on the KiwiSchools website
Age and Gender
This is not currently collected, but may be collected in future to allow users to navigate to age-specific sites and content. This information is not available to all individuals accessing KiwiSchools, but may be viewed by KiwiSchools administrators.

KiwiSchools does not sell or rent personal information we collect from KiwiSchools users to third parties, but reserves the right to contact members of school communities whose email addresses have been supplied to us.

Unfortunately, we cannot and do not ensure that personal information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Practice. By way of example, we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully access this information. Further, KiwiSchools can (and you authorize us to) disclose it in cases where KiwiSchools, in its sole discretion, believes that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) KiwiSchools, KiwiSchools's rights or property, or any third party.

Parents of children using KiwiSchools may review and request the deletion of their child's personal information. Parents should make this request directly to their child's school in the first instance. Parents may also contact KiwiSchools at team@kiwischools.co.nz if they are wish.

"Cookies" are small pieces of data that a Web site sends to a Web browser. Web sites often use "cookies" because they help keep track of things like an individual's preferences and personal interests. KiwiSchools does not currently use cookies, but may use them at any time to authenticate users of the KiwiSchools website. This helps with security and improves each user's experience.

KiwiSchools may track the IP/Internet addresses of the domains from which people access KiwiSchools. This information may enable us to determine where users are coming from, which parts of our site they are going to, and the amount of time they spend at kiwischools.co.nz.
