Photo Galleries with LOTS of pics!

We bet staff at your school take LOTS of photographs each year?  The challenge is how to make these available to teachers, students and your community.

Obviously, putting them online is the answer.

The galleries in your KiwiSchools site are designed for just a few photos in each, so it’s difficult to manage big galleries. So what if you want to upload and display dozens, or even hundreds, of photos in various galleries or albums? We recommend two options - Picasa and Flickr.
Picasa is owned by Google while Flickr is part of Yahoo:

We tend to recommend Picasa for two reasons:  It comes with a great local image management software (Picasa) and a nicely integrated online photo gallery called Picasa Web Albums, and it’s really easy to upload your best photos from your local computer or network to Picasa Web Albums.

It’s easy to create a link to your Picasa or Flickr gallery on your website menu - just email us the link to your gallery and tell us where you want the new menu item!

You can have virtually unlimited Albums, each containing lots of photos.  If you run out of free space, extra online space is reasonably priced.

We do have plans to enhance the KiwiSchools photo gallery module, but Picasa is our recommendation at this stage.
